Workshop Offered in Lansing for Elementary Teachers!

“Everyday Life in Early Michigan” Workshop, March 5 & 19, Lansing

On March 5 & 19, the Michigan Historical Center is presenting Everyday Life in Early Michigan. We will spend almost the entire first day in the galleries, immersed in 3 time periods: Pre-contact, French fur trade and Settlement. The second day is designed to help teachers put what they have learned into context using maps and timelines. SB-CEUs will be offered pending final approval from MDE. This will be helpful with the 3rd grade GLCEs. The content is also relevant to 5th grade and the techniques can be adapted to other content.
